Floristry is my job and my passion. I spent years drawing and painting and designing with flowers whilst studying printed textile design at university. The transition into floristry came so naturally and on day one of my floristry course I knew that I should have been doing it all along.
Both of my Grandmothers were very keen gardeners and my mum too. I spent my childhood pressing flowers, mixing perfume from rose petals and making little dolls from poppies. I think I was always meant to be a florist and am now encouraging my 3 and 6 year old children to plant and grow.
I opened my shop in 2008 and when my family came along, Jessica Rose moved to my beautiful home studio and now I mainly concentrate on wedding flowers and workshops.
I love to work with bold, colourful and beautiful blooms. Roses, Hydrangea and Peonies remain among my favourite flowers. I will try to use British grown flowers wherever possible.
“Thank you so much Jessica for my truly beautiful flowers, I can't recommend you enough.” – Wedding Flowers
